The Grant County Board of Education consists of five citizens elected to serve terms of four years each. As representatives of the community, the members of the Board are committed to safeguarding the community’s involvement in Grant County Schools through effective policy-making and evaluation.

The Board acts in the following areas:

• Setting policy for a smooth and lawful operation of the school district;
• Selection and evaluation of the district’s superintendent;
• Establishment and evaluation of education goals;
• Communication of the district’s needs and education programs to the community.
  

Regular meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Grant County Board of Education Office, 820 Arnie Risen Boulevard, in Williamstown. Special-called meetings are held on the first Thursday as needed. The public is welcome and is encouraged to attend meetings.
